Looking Ahead
We’re already excited about this year’s festival, but we’re always thinking about the long-term future of Ports Fest as well. That’s why, from 2022, the festival programme will be defined by five core strands:
Ports Fest Originals: This represents the festival’s new commissions and covers all genres and partnerships.
Ports Fest Introduces: This is a new strand of work that focuses on up-and-coming new talent in any art form supporting local and national artists.
Ports Fest Presents: Events programmed by the festival only.
Ports Fest Collaborates: Our creative partners are integral to our annual offering so this represents our creative partners.
Ports Fest Community: Building on our community programme which has been running for 5 years, community groups, forums and individuals can apply to be part of the festival on an annual basis.
COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT
This year, Ports Fest will be held from the 2nd-4th July; many events will take place outside, and all will be run in accordance with government COVID-19 safety measures. Needless to say, the safety of our audience members, participants and artists is our number one priority.
