The Black Dyke Band will be performing at the Kings Theatre on 2nd July 2022 , as part of Ports Fest 2022.

Share an evening with one of the oldest and best-loved brass bands in the world. The Black Dyke Band has performed at everything from the 2017 Glastonbury Music Festival to sell out concerts in the Sidney Opera House, New York’s Carnegie Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall. They are the most successful contesting band in the world, having won the European Championships 13 times, the British Open 30 times, and the National Championships of Great Britain 23 times.  Recording credits include the soundtrack for the BBC’s Ground Force series, a Classical Music Chart no.1 with recordings of John Rutters music (2020) and the Academy Award nominated That’ll Do from Babe: Pig in the City. They have also featured on tracks from The Beatles, Paul McCartney and Tori Amos.
