BAFA Conference 2021
BAFA have announced their conference for festivals, which will take place online from 24 - 26 February. Rewind, Play, Forward will be an arena to share the experiences, frustrations and challenges of the last year as well as looking at solutions, opportunities and green shoots for 2021. Participants will hear from inspiring speakers, share ideas and resources with other delegates, and have a chance to chat informally with colleagues from across the sector. They will be talking about the challenges of going digital and monetisation, hearing from Martin Green about Festival 2022, talking about how festivals have be re-framing their sense of place and community during the pandemic, exploring audience attitudes to coming back to festivals post-pandemic, talking about what the future might look like both in terms of a more diverse sector and through the lens of extended reality.
There will be breakout sessions for colleagues based in Wales, Scotland and England, featuring speakers from arts councils and the Digital Cultural Network, and opportunities to network in specialist groups.
